The problem
A domestic garage that still houses a car, bikes and trash cans is also the only place in the home where a bike can be fixed, a board planed, a pot filled or a weight dropped. The usual result is either a project that never starts because there is no floor, or a project that quietly wins: a bench in front of the water heater, boxes stacked against the electrical panel, bikes across the car space, a cord across the floor, and the car living in the driveway for a year.
What changes after you use it
Tape the first shift before the second. Mark the car's opened-door envelope, the route from the car to the house door, a standing face in front of every service, and the trash-can-and-bike route. The project bay is what is left: one bay, one job, marked on the floor. Store the work up the wall within the bay on rated systems, or on rated mobile units with locking casters and a taped home line. End every session with a shift change — tools up, units home, floor swept, lines walked — that lets the car back in. Fire, carbon monoxide, fuel and solvents, electrical work and habitable use go to site-specific authority. It replaces the question 'how much storage can the garage hold' with 'what does the first shift need, and what does one project need for one session', which returns the car and the services before a single shelf is bought, gives the project a place that is always ready, and makes the end of a session a short routine instead of a judgment about whether to bother.
Who it is for
attached or detached domestic garages that still house a car and have floor or wall left after the first-shift lines are taped; two-car, oversized or deep one-car garages; one project job at bench, stand or mat scale: bike repair, hand-tool woodworking, potting, a home gym corner; households that will actually run a shift change at the end of a session.
Who does not need it
Anyone the free Study already solved; one-car garages where the car's door swing already touches the walls; garages with a gas or other combustion appliance in the proposed bay; shared, communal or managed garages; jobs needing power-tool dust extraction, spraying, solvent finishing, fuel-burning engines, welding or grinding; projects that cannot pause on a unit and would hold the car space for months.

What it cannot do
It gives no universal clearance numbers and makes no structural, electrical, fire, egress, accessibility or code determination; those belong to site-specific authority. Every photograph is a concept visual of an authored room, not a measured site.
